Research on Factors Affecting Forbush Decrease in September 2017

  • Based on the data of the neutron monitor on the ground, the time structure, and maximum decrease of the Forbush Decrease (PD) in September 2017 are given by fitting an approximate function. We also analyzed the influences of the altitude, geographic longitude, geographical latitude, and cut-off rigidity of the neutron monitor on the time structure and maximum decrease of the FD.
